Short answer
Bitwarden is our top pick among the 6 password managers for business we ranked, scoring 90/100. Paid plans start at $4/user/mo.
Bitwarden (90/100): best value for teams that need SSO, policies and directory sync.
1Password (88/100): best for ease of use and staff adoption.
Keeper (85/100): best low-cost plan for small businesses.
Dashlane (83/100): best all-in-one plan with phishing alerts and VPN.
Proton Pass (82/100): best budget plan with SSO and email aliases.
A business password manager stores every employee's logins in an encrypted vault, lets teams share credentials without pasting them into chat, and gives IT an admin console to enforce policies and remove access when someone leaves. Every tool here prices per user per month, billed annually, so the real comparison is which plan first includes the features IT asks for: single sign-on (SSO), automatic provisioning from your identity provider (SCIM), security policies and free personal accounts for staff.
We scored six password managers on six weighted criteria. For 10 users, published list prices run from $238.80 a year (Proton Pass Essentials) to $1,078.80 (1Password Business). SSO starts at $4.99 per user on Proton Pass and $6 on Bitwarden, while Keeper puts it on Enterprise, which it quotes.

Keeper's pricing page didn't show prices to us; its prices are from Keeper's own comparison pages updated Jan 2, 2026. Dashlane's price is from its help center, which lists Omnix Password Management at $8 per user per month. LastPass prices are from its Teams-vs-Business and product pages. NordPass doesn't show business prices in a form we could verify, so it isn't scored.

How to choose a business password manager
Price the plan with SSO, not the entry plan. SSO starts at $4.99 a user on Proton Pass Professional, $6 on Bitwarden Enterprise, $7 on LastPass Business (3 apps), $8 on Dashlane and $8.99 on 1Password Business. On Keeper it needs a quoted Enterprise plan.
Check where provisioning starts. Bitwarden includes SCIM on its $4 Teams plan. 1Password puts automated provisioning on Business, LastPass puts directory integrations on Business, and Keeper puts SCIM on Enterprise.
Price small-team plans separately. For 10 users or fewer, Proton Pass Essentials ($238.80 a year for 10), Keeper Business Starter ($240) and 1Password's Teams Starter Pack ($299.40 for up to 10) cost less than each vendor's main plan, but none of them include SSO.
Look at what staff get at home. 1Password Business, Bitwarden Enterprise, Keeper Business, Dashlane and LastPass Business include free family accounts, which keeps employees' personal logins out of the work vault.
Ask about add-ons before you sign. Keeper sells advanced reporting and compliance reports as add-ons, and Bitwarden sells Secrets Manager separately. Price the bundle you will run.
